This page aims to indicate and explain each of the various Validation and autocorrection settings.

| Characters per Second (max) | The shortest title required for reading text |
| Characters per Title (max) | The maximum number of characters allowed in one title |
| Characters per Line (max) | The maximum number of characters allowed on one line |
| Duration Less than (frames/secs) | Minimum amount of frames/secs allowed for one title |
| Duration More than (frames/secs) | Maximum amount of frames/secs allowed for one title |
| Minimum gap to next title (frames) | Minimum amount of frames between one out cue and the next in cue |
| Gap to next title less than (secs) | Minimum time allowed between subtitles if it is not the minimum gap |
| Empty spaces before punctuation | Flags titles which have a space between characters and punctuation |
| 0-10 not written as text | Flags titles which include numerals (1-10) instead of text (one to ten) |
| First word as number not written as text | Flags titles which start the line with a numeral |
| Empty Title | Flags titles which have no text |
| Empty Line | Flags titles which have a line break but only one line of text |
| Line breaks more than | Flags titles which have more than the specific number of lines |
| Overlapping out-cue values | Flags titles which overlap in time with another title |
| Count Space as Character | For reading speed purposes |
| Validation bar on | Choose to have the bar show Chars/Title, Chars/Sec, Chars/Line or no bar displaying |
| Validation field | Choose which input fields to calculate |
| Validation bar field | Choose which input fields to display (Text, Second text etc.) |

| Start Before (frames/secs) | Specifies how many frames/secs a title can start before a scene change |
| Unless (frames/secs) | Overrides the previous value if it is incorrect |
| Start After (frames/secs) | Specifies how many frames a title can start after a scene change |
| End Before (frames/secs) | Specifies how many frames/secs a title can end before a scene change |
| Unless (frames/secs) | Overrides the previous value if it is incorrect |
| End After (frames/secs) | Specifies how many frames a title can end after a scene change |

| Snap to Legal time values based on gaps, determined in the validation rules | This will force timings to "legal" values set in the preferences |
| Ellipses converted to Unicode character | This will change 3 full stops (...) to a ellipsis character (…) |
| Remove line breaks if character/title is less than (Y/N) [Count] | If a title is less than the specified value and is on 2 lines, it will be adjusted to 1 line |
