When playing video, there is a pre-roll function. When video is playing and you press the shortcut key to go to the next title, the video can jump to a number frames before the In Cue of that title.
This allows you to see a small part of the video before the next title appears.
The length of pre-roll is adjustable by using the menu item “Option/Preferences/Player/Lead time for play active title function”.
